Kim Soo-gyeom (27, Srixon) won the Korea Professional Golf (KPGA) Srixon Tour 16th tournament (total prize money of 80 million won).
Su-gyeom Kim won the championship on the 23rd when the 16th Srixon Tour, which was scheduled to be held at the Solago Country Club, Lago Course (par 72, 7290 yards) in Taean, South Chungcheong Province, was canceled due to heavy rain and lightning.스포츠토토
Kim Soo-gyeom, who tied for the lead with a 6 under par 66 on the first day, played an extended game with Kim Yong-tae (24, Srixon). In the first overtime played on the 17th hole (par 5), Kim Yong-tae made a double bogey and took advantage of the gap to confirm the championship.
Kim Soo-gyeom said, “I am very thrilled to have won my first professional debut win. He still doesn’t realize it,” he said. “I tried to play my game regardless of the ranking. It was helpful for him to calmly decide in overtime,” he said.
Kim Soo-gyeom, who took the club at the age of 16, later than his peers, at the recommendation of his parents, joined the KPGA Pro (Associate Member) in 2014 and the KPGA Tour Pro (Full Member) in 2016, and debuted on the KPGA Korean Tour in 2021. However, he failed to achieve outstanding results and retain his seed, playing mainly on the KPGA Srixon Tour.
Kim Soo-gyeom said, “I want to improve his performance by improving his shot sophistication. He wants to be a player who always develops in all aspects. I want to keep the top of the Srixon points and step on the stage of the Korean tour next year.”
With this victory, he moved up to 4th in Srixon points (33,356.42 points) and 3rd in prize money (33,115,237 won).
