Al-Nasr came from 0-1 down to win the Arab Club Championship 2023 final against Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) at the King Fahd Stadium in Taif, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday, after Ronaldo’s 29th-minute equalizer in the second half sent the game into stoppage time, before the Real Madrid star scored the winner seven minutes into extra time for a 2-1 victory.

It was Ronaldo’s first trophy in Saudi Arabia since signing a contract with Al-Nasr on Dec. 31 last year through 2025.

Ronaldo was disappointed to finish runner-up to Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League in the 2022-2023 season. But just eight months after joining the club, he finally made a name for himself by leading them to their first ever Arab Club Champions League title.

Ronaldo was also the tournament’s top scorer with six goals.

The Arab Club Champions Cup is a competition for clubs in the Middle East and Africa, and this year 37 clubs from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Morocco, and Algeria competed.
